NDIS Funding Types We Work With




Plan-Managed NDIS Funding
If your NDIS plan is plan-managed, a third-party Plan Manager handles your NDIS funds and pays your providers on your behalf. This option offers a balance of choice and convenience.
How Veloura Care works with Plan-Managed Participants:
We send our invoices directly to your nominated Plan Manager.
Your Plan Manager pays ValoraCare from your NDIS funds.
We coordinate directly with your Plan Manager to ensure smooth service and product delivery and billing.
Self-Managed NDIS Funding
If you self-manage your NDIS plan, you receive your funding directly from the NDIS. This gives you the most flexibility and control over how you use your funds and choose your providers.
How Veloura Care works with Self-Managed Paricipants:
We will provide you with a clear, detailed invoice for services and products rendered.
You pay ValoraCare directly, then claim reimbursement from the NDIS via the myGov portal.
We can assist you with understanding our invoices and service agreements.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my NDIS plan is self-managed or plan-managed?
If your funding and invoices are managed by a third-party agency (not the NDIS directly), then your plan is typically plan-managed. If you manage the funding yourself and pay for invoices directly, then you are self-managed. If you're unsure, you can always check your NDIS plan document or contact the NDIS directly for clarification.
Do you offer services if my plan is NDIA managed (meaning NDIS manages the payments directly)?
At this stage, we primarily offer services to self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Unfortunately, we do not currently offer services to NDIA-managed participants. However, we are always reviewing our service offerings and may expand to include NDIA-managed participants in the future, so please "watch this space" for updates!
How do I know if a type of service will be covered under my NDIS plan?
If you are plan-managed, your Plan Manager can easily provide you with detailed information on what specific services are covered under your plan. The NDIS can also provide this information directly. Alternatively, you are always welcome to contact us, and we will be happy to help you understand and navigate your plan inclusions.
Are your services covered by the NDIS?
All of our services are designed and provided in accordance with NDIS support categories. However, each individual's NDIS plan has unique inclusions and funding allocations. Therefore, it is important to check your own NDIS plan to confirm what specific services are covered for you. We are always here to assist you in understanding how our services align with your plan.
